The 4th Chongqing Mapping Competition Concludes Successfully, Winners Announced

At the end of 2025, the Chongqing Mapping Competition Final was held in Chongqing. The stage for this edition was a custom-designed structure inspired by Sichuan Opera facial masks.The competition attracted over 80 teams from around the world, with 23 top creative teams shortlisted for the final. Using architecture as their canvas and light as their language, the teams told stories of diverse cultures and demonstrated the infinite possibilities of digital art and urban space. The competition has not only built a communication platform for the global light art community, but also enhanced Chongqing`s influence as an international digital art destination.
The final evaluation consisted of two stages. In the first round, the jury watched the presentations and scored in real time, rating the works on artistic creativity and technical execution. The top 10 entries advanced to the second round, where the jury selected and ranked 6 outstanding works. Points were accumulated according to the rules to determine the final awards.
The award winners are as follows:Gold Award: Wong (China);Silver Award: Christopher Harrisson (United Kingdom), Julian Hölscher (Germany);Bronze Award: OoopStudio (Italy), Invisible Spectrum (China), Eper Digital Studio (Hungary);Artist Choice Award: Invisible Spectrum (China).
